Survey Predicts Uptick in Average Starting Salaries for IT Professionals

Information technology (IT) professionals in the United States can expect starting salaries in 2007 to increase an average of 2.8 percent over 2006. Larger increases in base compensation are expected in high-demand roles such as software developer, web developer and data warehouse manager, according to the Robert Half Technology 2007 Salary Guide.
