Flextronics, Renamed as Aricent, to Invest USD 100 Mln in India

Aricent, previously the software development and solutions business of Flextronics, has emerged as an independent, full-service, full-spectrum communications software company. The new name comes following the acquisition of 85 per cent of the business on 4 September 2006, by Kohlberg Kravis Roberts and Sequoia. Flextronics retains 15 per cent ownership. The transaction valued the entire business at approximately USD 900 million.
