Fujitsu Notebook Running on Sony Battery Injures One in Japan

Fujitsu, one of several companies involved in the worldwide Sony laptop battery recall, has disclosed that one of its notebooks with Sony's batteries overheated and sparked, burning the hand of the user. The injuries were minor, and the incident was the first known occurrence on any of its products, the company said. Altogether, Fujitsu is recalling some 338,000 batteries due to the fire risk.
